Position Summary
This position provides critical support services within the outpatient mental health and substance use programs to treat individuals with mental health, substance use or co-occurring disorders. The therapist will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including assessment, individual, group, and family therapy, and along with maintaining documentation standards. Individuals served can range from age 5 and up. This role requires flexibility and time management skills to meet the needs of individuals served.

Assignments
- Work within an individual-centered team framework to ensure that individuals are connected to services of choice, with emphasis on individualism, strengths and community involvement.
- Utilizes the DDAP ASAM and DSM-V-TR diagnostic criteria to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Manage caseload of individuals providing individual, group, and/or family therapy sessions.
- Provide and oversee the provision of accurate, strength-based, and culturally competent assessments of individuals within prescribed timeframes and throughout the individual’s service involvement.
- Provide supportive and follow-up services as needed. This may include intervening directly to identify, prevent or manage crisis events, using crisis intervention techniques including de-escalation, conflict resolution, individual and group strategies.
- Produce individual driven, strengths-based plan for individual’s treatment goals.
- Provide timely, accurate, and professionally written documentation of all service components within the electronic health record (HER) as per licensing regulations, contractual requirements and agency policies.
- Required to comply with all licensing regulations, contractual requirements, accreditation standards, and agency policies and procedures related to behavior, supports, documentation, and management. This includes maintaining confidentiality such as HIPAA
- Record time and attendance via Human Resources Information Systems and Timekeeping system as applicable

Education & Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services field) or other related field with a minimum of one year experience working directly with individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health diagnoses.
- Licensure required. (LPC, LCSW, PhD)
- PCB credentialing preferred. (CADC, CAADC)
- A valid driver’s license along with access to a reliable vehicle.
- Working knowledge of 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, privacy laws and regulations.
- Working knowledge of DSM 5- TR and the American Society for Addiction Medicine (ASAM) preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, computer/laptop, tablet and cell phone required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions
- Work is typically office-based with attendance at external meetings, committees and conferences required at times.
- Schedule flexibility to meet program needs.
- Must be able to work and travel to the various Familylinks offices as needed
- Ability to lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
- May do pushing, pulling, standing and walking (1-3 hours)
Required Training
- Maintaining active, unrestricted professional licensure during employment
- Completing all annual training as assigned
