Position Summary

The School-Based Mental Health Therapist provides a bridge between mental well-being and education. This role provides group and individual therapy services, crisis management and participates as a member of the individual’s treatment team. The School-Based Mental Health Therapist works with students in the school system to assist in decreasing behavioral and emotional barriers that can impact learning, social development, and positive communication skills. Individuals generally can range from kindergarten to twelfth grade. This role requires flexibility and time management skills to schedule assessments and sessions within the school day schedule

This position provides critical support services within the outpatient mental health and substance use programs to treat individuals with mental health, substance use or co-occurring disorders. The therapist will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including assessment, individual, group, and family therapy, and along with maintaining documentation standards. Individuals served can range from age 5 and up. This role requires flexibility and time management skills to meet the needs of individuals served
